"What's focus when the lights are all out?"

One more day of this hellish 6 day 50 hr stretch that I'm currently on. I have a few minutes before I need to jump in the shower before work, so a quick update on the goings ons.

Regionals is this weekend, which should be a good time with myself, Cedric, Westfall, Saran, and Justin trying to make good for the GFC. At the very least, there will be some fun had with that crew, so that is something to look forward to.

I have the next couple of days off, and Thursday is my 24th birthday, continuing my progress towards becoming an old man. Once again, I'm hoping that the days off will let me forget this stretch of work and the other varied problems that make up my life.

Now, on to the real reason I updated today:

Songs of the Second:
1. Jimmy Eat World - Futures
2. Better Than Ezra - A Lifetime
3. Fall Out Boy - Of All the Gin Joints in the World
4. The Ravonettes - Love in a Trashcan
5. The Movielife - If Only Duct Tape Could Fix Everything (FROM THE VAULT)

Spirals and All

I should probably address the major issues that have gone down in the past couple of days. My good friend Jason and his wife Krystal are getting their marriage annulled after only 8 days. I can't say this is a bad thing, as even in the short amount of time since they split up, Jason seems like his old self again. In all honesty, this is the best thing for all parties concerned. The why and how of the split, while a very interesting story, mean nothing in the long haul and the goal of finding happiness or at least contentment. That's all I really want to say on the subject...But I'm glad to have the King back.

In other news, I had a hellish weekend with the aforementioned drama combined with three extremely rough days at work in succession. Some days it really feels like I'm the only one doing any actual work at Neighborcare, although Sunday was just one of those days that no matter who the crew was it was not going to make any difference.

On the plus side, I spent almost all day Monday gaming in various forms, mostly drafting with the crew of Cedric/Tim/Westfall/Saran/King/Mike as well as some video bowling (completely insane). We had a pretty good time, and I need to start hanging out with that crew more frequently. With Tim and King leaving at the end of the week (West Coast Swing), I'm not sure how many more opportunities we'll have but regardless gaming is starting to be fun again. My primary goal in the next month of gaming is to get Cedric ready for the Pro Tour. His play has been sloppy as of late and he's starting to get demoralized. Beyond that, I guess it's getting ready for regionals, figuring out the first of two relevant formats this summer (T2).

Songs for Today:
1. Anberlin - Paperthin Anthem
2. Jimmy Eat World - Futures
3. Fall Out Boy - Just get the whole new album
4. Blink 182 - Easy Target (from the VAULT)
5. Head Automatica - Beating Heart Baby (back after a couple month absence)
