Girl's Not Grey

Happy New Year Suckas! I'm back and better than ever. Well, at least I'm back. So what's new you may be wondering...

Overall, things are pretty good. I need to get back into the swing of things at the gym and stuff, so tomorrow I'll be back on my horse after a couple week layoff for the holidays. Gotta be up in the gym workin on my fitness, etc.

OSU, the less said the better. Two words: Wha Happan?

Over the holiday I saw my friend Joe Mazzola for the first time in a year. It was great to see him and all of the success he is having is so well-deserved. I just hope that I can live up to his awesome example in so many ways!

Instead of spending New Year's Eve eating spaghettios in the shower with my hands directly out of the can, crying along to Dashboard Confessional's "Hands Down," I actually went to the bar with the insane squad of King/BillF/Hunka/Bosma/Pergola/Derek/Dirknight/King's GF Amy and had a spectacular time. Any night that features drinking Dom directly from the bottle, insane kareoke of "We Are the Champions" and plenty of visual evidence in the form of pictures taken has to be pretty fresh.

On the female front, things are quiet for once. I can actually say that I'm not forcing things right now and it feels pretty damn good, instead focusing on developing some female friendships. I've been without a best female friend for a long time (maybe since High School) and I might actually have one nowadays, which helps keep things in perspective.

School is looking to be more of a drag than usual this semester, as I am really low on funds and have to bear the entirety of the cost myself. I'm strongly considering taking only one class this semester because of it, just to keep myself busy and in good habits, until I move out and get the necessary paperwork in for more student loans (yay!).

I won a trip to Switzerland playing Magic last month. I'll be leaving on February 6th for 5 days in Geneva, which is about as good as it gets. If I do well, who knows what that could lead to, but no matter what I get to go to Europe for a week. Pretty fucking excited about that.

I managed to get the Spruce hooked up pretty good with a super-duper girl from work named Dana who likes to play Guitar Hero and watch Garden State (and do Strip-Aerobics!). Must be unreal to be the Spruce right now. Usually I could count on him to be reading this within like two hours of my posting it, but I'm guessing he's "otherwise occupied." A bowling outing is on the horizon with the happy couple and Natalie and I, which may be a very absurd day.

I'm sure that there is a lot more to say, but for now, I'll keep it brief to let everyone know I'm still alive and kicking.
